Industrial Art is all about form following function in a meaningful, economically-driven way. While where I live is not a major manufacturing area, there are industrial facilities not far away. In particular, there is a plant not too far from me that I believe in whole and in part is not only functional but also artistic. This is particularly true at night when the light of the moon combines with the artificial light of the plant or when there is rain and fog that softens the lights and the colors. There are other facilities as well. In industry there is a symmetry and beauty in form following function.
